Rex Alfred is commemorated on the Air Force Memorial at Runnymede. The Memorial dedicated to some 20,456 men and women from air forces of the British Empire who were lost in air and other operations during World War 2.
The Memorial is on a hill above the River Thames, in a quiet place.
It consists of a square with memorial panels around it.
There are two annexes on the North and East corners. The panel with Rex’s name is the North Annex, panel 112.
This panel is headed 1942 Royal Australian Air Force, with Rex’s name halfway down it.
