George 174 married Rhoda Charlotte 357 Harmer in 1852 in Bacton. Although many of the children were born in Crownthorpe, the family dispersed. Children were:

• Elizabeth 708 b 1853 (seen in 1861 census but no further record)
• William Marshall 356, b 1854 m Sarah Casson in 1876 and began Cubitt & Gotts Builders, moving to Ipswich to start their branch. See ‘Suffolk Gottses’ page for more details. No known children.
• Harriet Ann 709 b 1856 m Alfred H Collens in 1885 in Lambeth
• Allan Zachariah Steward 710 Gotts b 1858, moved to Bromley and Beckenham, and also had descendents in Croydon
• George John 711, b 1859 and his wife Elizabeth 1531 raised their family in Lambeth and Bromley. Daughters were: Mabel Elizabeth 1309, Grace 1310, Christobel 1311, born between 1885 and 1890. One son George William 1310 (b 1892) became a vicar; we have no further knowledge of Frederick Herbert 1532 b 1896

• Rhoda Hannah 1312 b 1864 m William Ridley Richardson in 1886
• Ann Elizabeth 1311 b 1866 m Joseph Harmer in 1895

Rhoda remarried in 1873 to John Goult after George died

Ian Gotts of Kings Lynn has noted that Henry Joseph 1313 Gotts in tree #034 (Bacton) were involved in the Burston school riots.
